If anyone ever tells you that you’re too old to do something you love, let them know that Arent Kits van Heyningen, KVH co-founder, chairman emeritus, and chief scientist, is doing everything he can to prove them wrong. For the seventh time and at the grand age of 94, this lifelong sailor completed the challenging Newport-to-Bermuda race, this time aboard the sailboat Temptress alongside son Rob, another KVH co-founder and the company’s vice president of R&D, and the rest of theTemptress crew. Amidst a very competitive field, Temptress came in first in its division for total elapsed time and stayed in touch with the KVH crew at home all the way via the KVH TracPhone FB150 satellite communications system.
